BridgeChecker User Guide
This guide is for BridgeChecker v1.2. The application has the menu and sub-menu options listed below.

The default password for BridgeChecker Mode, Manage, and Exit menu options in the system tray application is 123. The password can be changed from the Manage screen.
Installing BridgeChecker
- Windows Vista and Windows 7 users should run setup.exe with Administrator rights.
- Windows XP users can run setup.exe or run BridgeChecker_installer.msi to install the program.
- The default install path is C:\Program Files\WLAN Book\.
- The BridgeChecker shortcut will be placed on the Desktop.
Configuring BridgeChecker
- The BridgeChecker system tray icon can be started by launching BridgeChecker.exe from the install directory or via the desktop shortcut
- Right clicking on the system tray icon will display the menu options.
- Select Manage to view the modes of operation and to whitelist adapters.
Adapter Whitelist and BridgeChecker Mode or OneNIC Mode
- Enter the password to configure/modify the software configuration. The default password is 123 and can be changed from the Manage screen
- Select the adapters that should not participate in the enable/disable process for both modes of operation.
- Select the mode of operation
- BridgeChecker Mode will track when the primary adapter link is active and can disable/enable the secondary adapter automatically if desired.
- OneNIC Mode will list all non-whitelisted adapters and based on which adapters is selected all other adapters will be disabled, leaving on "one NIC" enabled.
- Click Save to enable mode of operation.
BridgeChecker Mode
- BridgeChecker Mode will track when the primary adapter link is active and can disable/enable the secondary adapter automatically if desired.
- The primary or secondary interface can be any interface type, LAN, wireless, EVDO, dial-up, virtual, VPN, etc.
- Checking "If primary connected, disable secondary" activates bridgechecker mode.
- Selecting "If primary disconnected, enable secondary" will automatically enable the secondary adapter.
- Selecting "If primary disconnected, leave secondary disconnected" will require the user to manually enable the secondary adapter after the primary is no longer connected.
- Click Save to activate configuration
OneNIC Mode
- Right click the system tray icon and select Manage
- Enter the password to configure/modify the software configuration. The default password is 123 and can be changed from the Manage screen
- Select the adapters that should not participate in the enable/disable process for both modes of operation.
- Select the OneNIC mode of operation.
- Click Save to activate configuration
OneNIC Adapter Selection
- Right click the system tray icon and select OneNIC
- The application will start the interface discovery process. All non-whitelisted interfaces should be displayed after the discovery process completes.
- Select the "one nic" that you would like to enable. All other interfaces will be disabled
BridgeChecker License Options
- Right click the system tray icon and select About to view registration information and software license.
- BridgeChecker by installs by default in personal/non-commercial mode. No license key is needed to use the software in personal/non-commercial mode.
